Privacy Policy

Midway Supply Co., Inc. (“Midway,” “we,” or “us”) operates this website at midwaysupplycompany.com. We treat the information you give us the same way we treat the people who walk into the yard, with respect and without surprises. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

What We Collect

We collect what you give us, plus the web data it takes to run the site and see how it is used.

Contact, quote, and careers forms. When you fill out a form on this site we collect your name, email, phone, project details, and any files you attach (plans, photos, resumes). Each form creates a record in our customer system, may stage the files you attached, and sends an automatic acknowledgement email to the address you gave. For CDL driving jobs, we pull the motor vehicle record ourselves after you apply. You do not upload driving records here.
Email and phone correspondence. If you email Midway@midwaysupplycompany.com or call us, we keep records of what we discussed so we can serve you well over time.
Site usage. Every page loads a small first-party script that reports how the page was used: how far you scrolled, how long the page was active, links you clicked that lead off the site, and goal events such as sending a form. Our servers also log the pages visited, browser type, and referrer. Your IP address is hashed (SHA-256 with a salt) before it is stored, so we keep a fingerprint of it, not the address itself. This data goes into our own analytics database on our own server. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or Meta pixels.
Calculators. The material calculators run in your browser. If you choose “Send to Midway,” the numbers you entered go into our customer system so a rep can quote the job.

Cookies

If you are just browsing, we set no cookies. If you sign in to the portal, we set three first-party cookies:

midway_sid keeps you signed in. It lasts 30 days.
midway_mid holds your account tier and a hashed form of your email. We use it to connect the product pages you look at to your account, so your rep knows what you are working on and can help.
midway_csrf protects forms from being submitted by another site.

We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Portal Accounts

If you ask for a portal account, we record the IP address you signed up from. Your account holds the profile you give us: name, company, address, your role, the products you are interested in, project notes, and whether you agreed to receive text messages. It also holds the plans and photos you upload. Midway staff may share an uploaded plan with a builder or vendor to get you a quote. We do not share it for any other reason.

Email We Send

Emails we send from the site or from our customer system may include a small open pixel and tracked links. When you open the email or click a link, we record the time, a hashed IP address, and your browser type. That tells us whether a quote or acknowledgement reached you.

How We Use It

Respond to quotes, takeoffs, applications, and customer-service requests.
Deliver materials, schedule work, and run accounts.
Help your rep understand what you are working on.
Improve the website based on what people use and what they ask for.
Comply with applicable law (tax records, employment records, and the like).

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing.

Who We Share It With

We share information only with parties who help us run the business and only as needed to do their job:

Manufacturers, vendors, and builders when a special order or a quote (windows, doors, trusses, kitchens) needs your plan or order details.
Delivery partners and contractors when materials are being shipped to a job site.
Service providers. Our customer system (ERPNext) is hosted by our platform provider, and our email delivery service carries the emails we send. Both act on our behalf and on our instructions.
Government authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to defend our legal rights.

We do not take payments on this website, so no payment details are collected here.

Maps and Embedded Services

The Contact page embeds an OpenStreetMap tile layer (via Leaflet) to show our yard location. When the map loads, your browser requests tiles from OpenStreetMap, which may log standard request data. We do not pass any personal information to OpenStreetMap. The deep links to Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze open in those apps under their own privacy policies.

How Long We Keep It

Site usage data is kept for 90 days, then dropped. We keep customer and contractor records for as long as we have an active business relationship, plus the period required by tax, employment, and other applicable laws (typically 7 years for financial records). You can ask us to delete records that are not legally required.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we ask you not to send sensitive information (social security numbers, bank account numbers) through the contact form. If we ever experience a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Know what personal information we hold about you.
Request a copy or correction of that information.
Request that we delete information that is not legally required.
Opt out of any sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not sell or share for that purpose).

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
