What is the difference between Ply Gem's series?
Ply Gem runs a ladder of vinyl series. The 1100/1500/Classic lines are value-to-mid new construction: the production workhorses, now offered in the all-black look. The 3700/4700/4800/5000 lines step up to heavier frames, better glass, and more finishes. The MIRA Premium Series is the architectural top tier with the cleanest sightlines and deepest options. There is also a full East replacement lineup (Pro/Premium). Midway specs the right series per opening and budget.
Does Ply Gem make black windows?
Yes. The all-black exterior is one of Ply Gem's signature looks, available from the 1500 Collection up through MIRA. Black exteriors pair with white, black, or clay interiors depending on the line. Midway will show you the combinations and spec the glass and grille package to match the look.
Is Ply Gem good for replacement windows?
Yes. Ply Gem has a dedicated East replacement lineup (Pro and Premium series) engineered to fit existing openings for whole-house and partial retrofits, alongside the new-construction series. Midway measures the openings, specs the right replacement series, and delivers, and the windows carry a limited lifetime warranty.
