Why Midway for Doors
We work through every opening with you (rough-opening sizes, hinging, swing direction, glass packages, finish, and hardware) across Therma-Tru, Masonite, and Woodgrain. You walk out with a clean order, not a guess.
We're a direct dealer with the major door manufacturers, not a re-seller. That means current lead times, factory pricing, and a real person to call when something needs to ship faster.
Doors come through our yard, get checked against the order, and stage for delivery on your schedule. No 'the trucking company left it at the wrong address.' We handle that.
Door Types
A starting menu. We can spec almost anything a manufacturer offers.
Steel, fiberglass, and wood entry doors. Classic, craftsman, modern, or custom panel patterns.
Sliding (gliding) patio doors and hinged French patio doors. Two-, three-, and four-panel configurations.
Larson and others. Full-view, retractable screens, ventilating glass.
Pre-hung and slabs. Solid core, hollow core, MDF, and wood. Standard and custom sizes.
Hardware kits, slabs, and full barn-door systems for closets, pantries, and feature openings.
Closet doors in louvered, panel, or mirrored. Sized to standard and custom rough openings.
Pivot doors, oversized entry, decorative glass packages, and architectural specials.
Through-door pet entries and decorative glass insert kits to refresh an existing door.
Frame Materials
Best paint and stain finish reliability. Won't rot, warp, or rust. Most contractors' first choice for entry doors today.
Strong, secure, and the value door. Right for builder-grade work, rentals, and garage-to-house openings. Finish it the week it is hung.
Premium look, traditional feel. Best where the door is protected by a porch or storm door.
Modern multi-slide and oversized openings where wood and fiberglass cannot match the structural span.
Glass & Performance
Energy-code compliant glass package. Standard on most Midway-spec doors.
Caming patterns, beveled glass, leaded designs. Match the home's architectural style.
Obscure, frosted, and reeded glass for bathrooms and side entries.
Where the design or insurance calls for it. Same frame, laminated glass.
Matte black, satin nickel, oil-rubbed bronze, polished brass, and the rest. We coordinate to your fixtures.
Why Fiberglass Is the Long Door
Every item on the "what you are paying for" checklist, and what the lines Midway sells do about it, from the makers' own published literature. Therma-Tru first, because it is the fiberglass line we spec most. Read the checklist first: What you are paying for →

| Checklist item | What these lines do |
|---|---|
| Slab | Therma-Tru fiberglass: pressure-injected polyurethane core, enhanced lock blocks with full lock and hinge stiles; Classic Craft adds skins 46 percent thicker than its standard line, composite top and bottom rails, hardwood edges, and a 4-inch engineered lumber board the full height of the lock side. Masonite fiberglass: polyurethane core, LVL edge, composite bottom rail. Steel: Therma-Tru Profiles 24 gauge, Traditions 25 gauge; Masonite Sta-Tru 24 gauge, poured core, composite bottom rail. Steves Regency and Legacy fiberglass: 3-inch laminated lock stile. |
| Frame | Therma-Tru composite door frame: full-length jambs with no finger joints, composite brickmould, and the maker's forced-entry test result against finger-jointed pine published in the catalog. Masonite fiberglass units ship with rot-resistant frames. Pine is available on either and is the line to read on the quote. |
| Sill and seal | Composite adjustable sill, sill pan, 7-shape corner seal pads, dual-fin bottom sweep, and replaceable compression weatherstrip on a Therma-Tru system; a water-infiltration reimbursement rider when the full system is installed. Masonite units: kerf-applied compression weatherstrip, corner seals at the jamb base, sealed sweep. |
| Glass | Tempered, insulated Low-E, triple-pane on decorative and privacy lites, flush-glazed options, ENERGY STAR options published by both makers. Masonite warrants its insulated glass 20 years. |
| Hardware | Ball-bearing hinges standard on Classic Craft and on the Steves lines with the rot-free frame. Multi-point lock offered on Therma-Tru and Masonite fiberglass doors; Therma-Tru warrants it there and not on steel. Masonite puts a 12-gauge plate behind every hinge. |
| Warranty | Fiberglass slab: original owner's lifetime on Therma-Tru, Masonite, and Steves Regency and Legacy. Classic Craft transfers once and carries a 10-year transferable factory finish warranty. Steel: 5 to 20 years by line. Lesson 2 reads the table. |
| Storm door | Larson: aluminum frame, tempered glass, Low-E option, full-view or retractable screen, limited lifetime warranty on the Classic Elegance and Platinum series. Buy one that vents. |
