What is the difference between stock, semi-custom, and custom cabinets?
Stock cabinets are built ahead in fixed sizes and a set finish list and pulled from a warehouse, so they ship in days; Midway's quick-ship lines (US Cabinet Depot, Premium Choice, L&C) live here. Semi-custom cabinets are built after you order, in your door style, species, and finish, with modified sizes available, and take weeks; Midway's made-to-order American lines (Marsh, Kith) and Fabuwood's Allure live here. Custom cabinets have no size or finish limit and the longest lead time. Midway's designer works across all three, and the education pages above explain what changes on the spec sheet between them.
What is the difference between quartz and granite countertops?
Quartz is engineered stone: about 90 percent natural quartz bound with resin and pigment, manufactured into uniform, non-porous slabs that never need sealing. Granite is natural quarried stone. Every slab is unique, requires periodic sealing, and is more heat-resistant. Both land in a similar mid-to-premium range. Midway coordinates templating, fabrication, and installation through partner shops as part of the kitchen package.
Does Midway install the cabinets, or just sell them?
Both. Midway completes the job. Professional installers hang the cabinets, set the islands, scribe everything to the walls and ceilings, and leave it ready for countertops, while Midway coordinates the plumber, electrician, and countertop fabricator. Installation is quoted with the cabinet package, so you have one price and one accountable team from design through installed.
